Feeling Crafty

Warm fall days are definitely over in Colorado and winter has set in.  I have been trying to take walks after work but it is so hard since it is dark by 5!...I can never decide how I feel about daylights savings. So I tend to gravitate to crafty projects and sewing more this time of year. Today I finished my wreath I have been working on for the past few weeks. I have had this idea forever.  It has just taken a little bit to get around to it. I also ordered these lights to eventually wrap around it but they are on backorder because just look at them! They are too cute!



 

On a side note I figured out where all the leaves go when the wind kicks up in the neighborhood. My house.

Too Many Projects Not Enough Time

Okay so I might be squealing a little bit over some new projects I found on Design*Sponge.  I have so many projects to do.  The hardest part is finding the time to do them all however the thought of summer and three glorious months to do what I want when I want keeps me brainstorming.

This one is insanely easy and something I can do at work while my classes are working.  I always try to work on something with them even if it isn't what they are doing.

I was standing in my basement yesterday looking at the explosion of my camping supplies.  Wouldn't this be nice to have while camping?  Not that I am ever in charge of the wood.  I mostly let the guys do that and then start throwing logs on the fire later but still?

Sewing and Such

If I had more time in my life I would spend it trying to figure out this mysterious sewing machine I have recently acquired.   I have made some grocery bags and a dress but the quality really isn't that great.  I was talking to my mom yesterday and realized that I had been threading it totally wrong.  So I signed up for a sewing 101 class from the cutest sewing shop here called Mama Said Sew.

Once I master this machine I have a giant list of projects I want to do

Interweave Asymmetrical Folds Skirt.  Too stinking cute.  I have visions of myself frolicking in this number in spring. 

Interweave Tulip Skirt.  I can totally see this in green or grey.  God knows I need more grey in my wardrobe...its pretty much all I wear.
